Here come the edible dormiceOnce again, choir director Elke Landenberger presents a CD with 17 choreographic songs for children or youth choir, accompanied by an instrumental ensemble. As promised in the CD's subtitle, these sprightly songs invite the listener to sing along and to take part in the choreographic movements. The songs are stylistically diverse, and sometimes even somewhat ambitious. Yet still, this music always can be very well performed by children. Once again, this CD does not contain unambitious and uniformistic pop music, as it unfortunately is the case for much of the children's music these days. Instead, pleasant music awaits the listener. Music, that, has quite some surprises in store. |

Dudeldu, the KangarooThe CD "Dudeldu, the Kangaroo" has been published at the record label Larynx and contained 18 fresh, charming, and humorous songs with choreographic elements for children. The songs were composed by Elke Landenberger, a choir director, who has realized her music with a choir built from several children and youth groups together with an instrumental ensemble. The CD contains very lively songs that are contagious. Stylistically, the music incorporates elements from popular music without ever resorting to superficial pop music idioms. |

the popular organThis project of Dietmar Korthals, a composer and organist from Dortmund, Germany, consists of ten organ chorals composed by him that try to combine elements from the classical tradition of organ chorales with stylistic elements from jazz, rock, and pop music. On the website of the project, one can find some sound samples. |
